old treasures, new love:
on the spot

looking to breathe new life into your old jewellery, without the wait?

Old Treasures, New Love: On the Spot is our approachable, in-the-moment reworking service—designed for simple, meaningful transformations made while you wait. Bring in your unworn, broken, or sentimental pieces and we will work together to reimagine them into something beautiful and wearable again, right then and there.

In just 30 to 90 minutes, you might see an old chain turned into a modern bracelet, a few charms turned into a layered necklace, a single earring transformed into a pendant, old pearls turned into a ring, or a dated costume piece reworked into something fresh and personal. It’s collaborative, it’s fun, and most of all—it’s a way to honour your treasures while making them truly yours again.

No long timelines or complex design processes—just heartfelt jewellery magic, made with love on the spot.

While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, we kindly recommend booking an appointment to ensure we can give your treasures the time and attention they deserve.

what's possible with our on the spot service

Every piece holds a story — and there’s so much more it can become. Whether it’s something you’ve outgrown, inherited, or simply don’t wear anymore, we’ll work together to transform it into something that feels like you again.

  • Old pendants or charms turned into a stunning layered necklace
  • Cufflinks turned into earrings
  • Pearls reworked into edgy bracelets by adding in stones and metal
  • A chunky costume necklace separated and turned into 5 new pieces
  • A baby initial bracelet turned bar necklace
  • Solo earrings turned into pendants
  • A wedding band cut into 2, flattened and hand stamped with a personalized message
  • Old watchbands dissembled by taking out the watch and adding in quartz or funky centrepieces
  • Removing the clock portion of a pocket watch and filling the piece with gemstones or a special written love note

...and the list goes on and on and on!

frequently asked questions

We’ve gathered some of our most frequently asked questions below to help guide you through the process.

Do I need to come in with a plan?

Not at all. Most clients come in with ideas still forming (or no idea at all). We’ll guide you through options and design directions together — that’s part of the experience.

What kinds of pieces can I bring in?

Almost anything. We regularly work with:

  • heirloom pieces
  • broken or single earrings
  • outdated styles
  • sentimental items you no longer wear

If you’re unsure, reach out! Part of the process is discovering what’s possible together.

Can I bring more than one piece?

Yes — and we encourage it. Often, the most interesting transformations come from combining elements across multiple pieces.

How long does it usually take?

It depends on the complexity of the transformation.

  • Simple reworks or on-the-spot adjustments can often be completed during your appointment
  • More involved transformations typically take a few weeks

We’ll always walk you through timing before getting started.

Can you add new elements or stones?

Yes — we can incorporate additional elements like stones, chains, or findings to help bring your vision to life. We’ll guide you on what complements your existing piece best.

Do you reuse my gold or materials?

Yes — in some cases!

For Old Treasures, New Love: On the Spot, we usually work with your pieces as they are, transforming them while preserving as much of their original character as possible.

If you’re hoping to melt down gold or reuse materials in a newly made piece, we offer this through our Old Treasures, New Love: Fine Jewellery process. This is a more advanced process with a longer timeline (typically 6–12 weeks), but absolutely possible.

You can learn more about this process, and book a consultation here.

If your piece isn’t suitable for reworking as-is, we’ll always guide you toward the best next step to bring your vision to life.

Are there any limitations I should know about?

Every piece is a little different, and what’s possible depends on the material and its condition.

For our standard Old Treasures, New Love projects, we typically work by reimagining your jewellery as it is. If your piece calls for something more involved — like rebuilding or material reuse — we may guide you toward our Fine Jewellery process.

We’ll always be honest about what’s possible and help you find the best way forward!

What if I'm not in Prince Edward County?

We offer virtual consultations and remote reworking options. You can send your pieces to us, and we’ll guide you through the process digitally from start to finish.

What should I expect for pricing?

Pricing varies depending on the scope of the project.

We offer:

  • Smaller, on-the-spot transformations starting at accessible price points
  • More custom or detailed work at higher tiers

We’ll always provide clear direction on pricing before moving forward with any work.

What if I’m not sure it’s worth reworking?

If it matters to you, it’s worth exploring. Sentimental value is just as important as material value, and we’ll always be honest about what we can do.
